A destination that you think is underrated in Madagascar but has real potential
The Northeast Coast from Maroantsetra to Sambava, which is home to two sites that I consider treasures and should be even more valued: Masoala National Park (where a wonderful tropical forest meets the ocean) and Marojejy National Park (where the eastern tropical forest meets the clouds). Not to mention other sites along the way, a biosphere reserve, Cape Masoala, authentic typical villages…
Your personal mantra or life philosophy that guides your approach to travel and work?
“Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” – Steve Jobs In this quote, there is belief, craziness, and changing the world, and I really identify with the idealism, faith, will, and vision conveyed in these words.
A moment when you were deeply touched by what you discovered during a trip
If I had to choose one, it was when I first crossed the Ihorombe plateau or “Itampon’Ihorombe” in Malagasy. Facing these endless landscapes and the variation of colors in the sky, I understood at that moment how grandiose and wonderful my country is, that no two trips are the same, and that travel is transformational. It makes you humble; it is wonderful.
What is unique about GassyTour according to you

Your vision for the future of travel
For me, tomorrow’s travel will be a journey with full awareness of the invaluable resources we have all over the world, including Madagascar. I believe that travel is a force for good in the world; of course, it has its negative impacts, but I think what it brings positively outweighs them. Tomorrow’s travel, for me, is a journey where everyone takes responsibility. As an idealist, I believe that tomorrow we will be increasingly aware of the impact we have on nature and what it offers us.
